Tur Dal or yellow spilt peas is widely used for Gujrati dals, puran poli and lots of other tasty variety dishes. Tur dal exhibits a thick gelatinous/meaty consistency and can take a little longer to cook than moong or masoor dal/dahl.

Some of the benefits of Tur Dal are that it provides nutrients such as protein, fat, and carbohydrates, is a great source of protein, is High in dietary fiber, low in saturated fat, and is cholesterol free.
